TROGIR, 2300 years old beautiful ancient town, UNESCO's protected heritage, has preserved 550 of the world's most valuable historical and natural attractions.
Its towers and walls, church towers and monasteries, luxurius palaces and pebble houses, narrow streets and squeres, take us back through many centuries.

Trogir (Tragurion) was founded by the Greeks from Syracuse in 3rd and 4th century before Christ during descents through Mediterranean. First mentioning of Greek settlement Tragurion date from II century and urban life has been uninterrupted since than, surviving migrations of many nations, destruction of Roman Empire and numerous attacks throughout millenniums.

Cultural prosperity of Trogir Township reached culmination from 13th until 15th century. It was the time of master Radovan and numerous other architects and stone-masons, which set their seals to their time and engraved many cultural masterpieces. One of the most beautiful monuments is the Saint Laurence cathedral with Radovan’s portal as Trogir’s most valuable cultural heritage.

It is really long story, the history of Trogir and it is impossible to tell it in these few lines. So you are being invited to come to the "town museum" – Trogir. The only way to know its history and its beauty is to come and to visit its monuments.

ČIOVO (pronounced [tʃîɔv̞ɔ]) is a island located in central Dalmatia, between Split and Trogir, with an area of 28.8 km2. On its north side Čiovo island is connected to mainland with bridges over small island of old city of Trogir. Čiovo is protecting Kaštela Bay that is streching from Trogir to Split, with a water surface area of 61 km2 (15 km long and 6 km wide) and an average depth of 23 m. Besides the part of Trogir on the island side, there are several villages on Čiovo: Mastrinka, Arbanija, Žedno, Okrug Gornji, Okrug Donji, Slatine and Prizidnica.

The nearest beach to our apartments is located about 120 meters in distance. You can choose between a pebble beach, concrete paved beach and a rocky beach. You can also relax under the shade of pine trees close to the beach.
Apart from the nearest beaches, there are many beaches close to our apartments. If you want to explore Čiovo island's surroundings you can also find lovely nature and many secluded beaches.

The Trogir coast is protected by mountains to the north and by a series of islands from the south. It is known for its mild Mediterranean climate and very favourable microclimates.

The Mediterranean climate enables swimming opportunities for 5-6 months a year. The summer is dry and warm, and the winter is mild with relatively large quantity of precipitations. The average annual temperature is 17°C with the average winter temperature being 9°C, 15°C during spring, 18°C during autumn, and 25°C during summer. In the summer temperatures can reach 30-35°C. The sea temperatures in the summer are between 22-25 °C. The Trogir coast is known for its sunny days, having 2660 hours of sunshine a year.

The major winds of the area are the Bura, which blows from the mainland towards the sea and brings colder clearer weather, and the Jugo, which blows from the sea towards the mainland and brings warmer cloudier weather.
