Austria is a European ski destination number 1 in many ways. It appeals to our clients not only because of the quality of its ski slopes and the amount of supplementary services but also thanks to its geographical proximity.
Even in Austria, however, you need to choose the right ski resort. In September we brought you the basic information on the best-known winter sports centres, today we would like to draw your attention to several Austrian bests to help you select this year's ski holiday.
Ski Amadé - five regions (Salzburger Sportwelt Sports World, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Großarltal) offers up to 860 kilometres combined.
In the popular Mayrhofen ski resort, an entire ski slope has been transformed to Vans Penken Park with 4 separate trails, a half-pipe and Kids-Park for beginners.
One more local speciality - the legendary Harakiri slope with a 78% inclination is the steepest ski slope in Austria.
The highest peak of the eastern edge of the Alps and also the largest ski resort in eastern Austria is Stuhleck in Spital am Semmering (total of 24 km of ski trails).
