Why magic?

Not many other European countries have experienced such an expansion of tourism like Montenegro has over the past 10 years. Millions of visitors have discovered its beaches and besides the summer joys also a country with a bit of an exotic twist for the Central Europeans. Montenegro, the youngest European country (established only in 2006), combines the traditional beauty of the Adriatic, picturesque charm of historical port towns and exciting discovery of the new world.

What you should know

First, what is the most important in terms of spending the summer vacation – the climate. In Montenegro it is one of the most stable in Europe. You will definitely appreciate that the typical summer in Montenegro has an extraordinary number of sunny days and little cloudiness.

Montenegro has 293 km of coastline of which 52 km are
beaches. You will find beaches of all kinds here – intimate ones, hidden among the rocks, but also vast ones, among which the 13 km long Large beach of Ulcinj is the number one. There is something for lovers of both fine and coarse sand, tiny and larger pebbles, rocky coast with adjusted platforms as well as natural rocks you can jump into the water from.

The most popular resort of Montenegro is
Budva, famous for its bustling day life and nightlife which takes place on 17 beaches including the luxurious Slavic beach, surrounded by hotel resorts. Most of the beaches have a gradual entry into the sea, appreciated especially by families with smaller children. Plentiful and diverse services are offered to foreigners in the historical part of Budva, situated on a small piece of land jutting into the sea, visible from every corner of the gulf.

Just 8 km from Budva you will find the world famous
"hotel town" Sveti Stefan. This former fishing village is situated on a rocky little peninsula connected to the mainland by a mere narrow sandy isthmus. From 1950s it has been gradually transformed into a luxury apartment resort. The historical scenery of the island and services for the most demanding clients is what attracts annually to this unique town the show business celebrities and politicians from the entire world.

South of Budva we recommend
Bar and Ulcinj rivieras, notably the beach Centar in the Sutomore resort, awarded the prestigious Blue Flag and Valdanos beach suitable for diving.

In Montenegro you will also find
the southernmost fjord of Europe – the famous Boka Kotorska Bay, surrounded from all sides by dramatic rocks contrasting with the lush Mediterranean vegetation. Visitors will enjoy the impressive natural scenery and views of the picturesque coastal villages tucked under the mountains. The biggest attraction is the historical town of Kotor, built by Venetians – one of the best preserved medieval cities in Southeast Europe.

For those who like visiting places featuring on the UNESCO Natural Heritage list, we have a valuable tip: Durmitor mountains (highest peak reaches 2,523 m) with 18 lakes and the
unique Tara river canyon, the deepest in Europe (1,300 m). The road itself, from the coastline to Durmitor with 32 tunnels and breathtaking sections under rock precipices, is a memorable experience for tourists. Along the famous Moraca monastery and the 40-meter waterfall Svetigora, it further leads to the Tara river canyon. The big attraction is rafting in the Tara canyon in boats, kayaks and rafts.

Another place of interest in Montenegro is
Lake Skadar – the largest lake in the Balkan peninsula with stunning natural scenery and numerous historical monuments. The local national park is ideal for a day trip which could be a pleasant activity on your holiday.

Transport links have also greatly improved in recent years – the highway leads to the south of Croatia from where the Montenegrin resorts are just behind the corner.

On the way to Montenegro, we recommend you to take a break in
Dubrovnik, considered a true pearl of the Mediterranean. Feel free to leave the accommodation to us!
