The first cottage has been built on the ridge of a hill Jahodná in 1918 by two brothers, Alexander and Gabriel Bárczy and have been named after their mother Otília. That hunting cottage has been visited by tourists and first skiers from Košice.
In the Spring of 1919, the cottage have been robbed and burned.
1930, Czechoslovakian Tourist Club in collaboration with Tatry Ski Club and Soldier´s Crew from Košice who had built 2 bedroom wood cottage with 18 beds was mainly used for skiers and soldier ski training. That new renovated cottage was situated 400 metres below the origin cottage. The name Otília had remained on the meadow where the first cottage had stood and that new wood cottage has been named „Louda´s cottage on the meadow Otília“ after Václav Louda, construction officer.
1932, construction company of František Bursík built three-story brick cottage with a capacity of 52 beds. Comfort was in high level with two canteens, own water supply and sewerage.
The opening ceremony was held on 11 December 1932.
Jozef Nývlt had become a Cottager and he had lived there as well.
1934, They had set up a volleyball court and behind the new brick cottage, the old Louda´s cottage has been used as a student dormitory with 8 beds and the second room as a ski deposit.
1946, Today´s cottage style has been under construction led by Ľudovít Fišer.
The opening ceremony was held on 21 July 1946.
